It amazes me that we live here in a tourist paradise and all our TV channels want to do is scare you away! For the last two days, they have been blaring out alerts about a Tropical Storm and Tropicals Storm Warnings and I know of many people that have cancelled thier travel plans - well, surprise, surprise - the storm came and went and all we had was a little rain - not even any high winds to talk about. So next time you see the news of doom and gloom - do yourself a favor - call the hotel or airline directly and see what they advise - no-one will let you travel if you are in any danger and you may get the real story, rather than the hype!
